The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Driver License Division is pleased to announce the relocation of its Union Springs Driver License Office at 303 North Prairie Street to a new location at 201 Powell Street in Union Springs. The upgrade to this new spacious office signifies the commitment of ALEA’s Driver License Division to better serve the citizens of Alabama and enhance the overall customer experience
“We are constantly striving to make improvements to provide exceptional customer service in all of our Driver License Offices across the state,” said Holley Cook, Director of ALEA’s Driver License Division. “We are excited to announce the relocation of our office in Union Springs to better serve the surrounding customers and enhance convenience and accessibility for all.”
ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor agreed and stated, “This move symbolizes the dedication and hard work the Driver License Division accomplishes on a daily basis to serve each of our local communities efficiently and effectively.”
The Office will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Thursday, July 4, therefore, beginning Thursday, July 11, residents of Union Springs and surrounding areas can visit the new office for all their driver license needs. The office currently located at 303 North Prairie Street will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, and will reopen at its new location on Thursday, July 11. Online services will still be available during the transition. Hours of operation will remain the same at the new location, Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, the Agency would like to remind all citizens that testing must be completed prior to the office closing; therefore, no tests can be offered after 3:30 p.m. at this location.
